Be the best you can be

Move Better...
Feel Better...

Pilates is a method through which we can restore our natural poise, with freedom of movement in a relaxed and flowing way. When we move in a more co-ordinated and connected way, we are more stable, use less effort and release unwanted tension. We become healthier, happier, and more energised.

Pilates works from the inside out.

With greater awareness of postural alignment, synchronisation of breath to movement and using muscles more functionally, we regain our uplifted and balanced selves. It also enables us to build stamina and endurance.

With the right guidance, Pilates is for everyone!

The good news is that Pilates is suitable for anyone! For both men and women, regardless of age, or level of fitness.

Classes are purposefully kept small to enable individual support and direction where needed.

Improved balance, movement, and energy in everyday life

We all have imbalances.

Sadly, modern day stresses and experiences are often mirrored in the way we use our bodies which unknowingly become our habitual holding or movement patterns. These can often result in pain or injury.

For a myriad of reasons (fear, thoughts, emotions, chaos, repetitive movements, excess demands on strength and co-ordination, you name it!) muscle tension and imbalance become the norm.

We contract some muscles, underwork other muscles, and override our deep intrinsic postural muscles resulting in loss of balance and alignment. It takes a lot of effort trying to compensate!

Understanding

Functioning at optimal level, we can move freely, uplifted with natural poise and graceful movement.

“If your spine in inflexibly stiff at 30, you are old: if it is completely flexible at 60, you are young”

About Me - Cathi Foale

I am a Level 4 Body Control Pilates instructor, qualified in 2009, including Level 4 Back Pain practitioner.

I am also a qualified Alexander Technique teacher (MSTAT) following 3 years of training.

I am motivated by movement and am passionate about helping people restore their natural elegance and poise, with the ability to move freely – in a pain and ache free way – which creates more energy and uplift for a healthier way of living.

Having experienced the stresses of setting up and running businesses, I understand the demands of corporate life. I also appreciate the challenges of everyday life!

I have suffered several major accidents and multiple fractures in my body, so I am familiar with repairing the body and the imbalances injury creates. In addition, how pain impacts on us and how we hold on to it.

I personally keep active by swimming, walking and horse riding.

The good news is that Pilates is suitable for everyone! For both men and women, regardless of age, or level of fitness.
